    • Like a lot of books in this genre, it started with a bang, ended with a bang, but slumped a bit in the middle. I didn't mind so much with this book because it spent some time on characterization, and by the end I liked all of them, and was dreading what would happen to them.I had mixed feelings at first about this particular group of characters, but as the story went on, they became unique, one of a kind individuals. They weren't the strongest group of people, but they were smart, and came up wi [...]

    • 3.5 stars.A group of strangers find safety in a school after everybody turns. An interesting story, hard decisions and struggles plague them as none are prepared for what has happened.I liked most of the characters, though I didn't feel invested in their survival (a personal feeling). I really liked the last 3rd of the book and was very surprised by the ending.

    • I really enjoyed the first half of the book, but then it bogged down for me, and I wasn't happy with the ending. But it was well written, the characters were interesting, and it did have a unique zombie outlook.

While the writing will benefit from more years of experience, every now and then there was a lovely sentence, or a well developed thought that made me pause to appreciate it. These moments made me look forward to future books from this author. Extra points given for excellently fun title an [...]

    • Great tale. I really enjoyed this zombie tale. It made me laugh a little, sad a little, and jump a little. Just like a good zombie book should. I liked the cast of characters and liked how the author ended the book. Will look for more from this author in the future.
