    • Adult colouring books have recently become very popular. They’re meant to relieve stress and anxiety, they’re used as therapy, and as an outlet for those of us who maybe have limited artistic flare, able to create something beautiful without having to do the actual drawing. I bought my first adult colouring book a couple of months ago and I’ve really enjoyed the colouring-in process. It really does help me focus on something other than life. I get absorbed, and if you’re anything like me [...]

    • Usually I review novels, so testing out and reviewing this gorgeous edition of the Secret Garden colouring book is a first for me. I’m hoping this review will go smoothly, but also bear with me as I’m new to this type of review. The Secret Garden, Artist’s Edition colouring book contains 20 of the most popular and gorgeous images from the original Secret Garden colouring book, mounted individually on thick, high quality crème coloured card that’s easily removable and pretty enough to fr [...]

    • Colouring books for adults have been around for a while now, but Secret Garden Artists Edition is the first one I have tried. When Secret Garden Artists Edition arrived at my house, the first thing I did was to browse through the pages and take a look at all the wonderful illustrations that were ready and waiting to be coloured in. I like the idea of being able to colour, and then pull out your picture. The pages themselves are quite thick, so when using felt tips to colour in, the colour doesn't [...]

    • The only reason that it is a 4, and not a 5, is that some of the cards are too small for the print. I for example have a hard time with the well!

    • Really lovely edition and fab idea to be able to pull pages out and frame. Really nice quality of paper too

    • 4.5 Stars.Originally posted on Once Upon a Bookcase. When I was offered the chance to review Secret Garden: Artist's Edition by Johanna Basford, I jumped at the chance. I had just bought  myself Enchanted Forest as I couldn't resist the beautiful illustrations, so being able to own this edition of Secret Garden too was just awesome. What's great about this edition of Secret Garden is that it allows you to pull the pages out after you're done to frame on put on your wall. With the Basford's illus [...]

    • This post is a bit of a weird one, because it’s a review of a book, but it doesn’t follow my usual reviewing guidelines. There’s a reason for that – this is a review of a colouring book, and whilst I do quite like to do a bit of colouring in from time to time (I have anxiety disorder, and so when I have a panic attack, I tend to watch Q.i. and colour in until it goes away), it still doesn’t quite count as a full book. I mean, I’ve completed colouring books from cover to cover before, [...]

    • 4.5/5I was very excited to receive this for review! I, like many people, have developed a great fondness for colouring books lately. There are so many pretty ones out there! I actually have a copy of the original Secret Garden by Johanna Basford and I adore it (though I’ve got the really old one, before it was reprinted, so I have the paper that all pens seem to bleed through, which is a shame). The Artist’s Edition, though, is even better in my opinion. First, because you can easily pull ou [...]

    • INITIAL THOUGHTSI was quite surprised to be sent an email from Midas PR asking me if I'd like to review this book. To be totally truthful I wasn't even sure how I would go about reviewing a colouring book, however after speaking to Midas PR I decided I should give it a go. MY REVIEWSo I guess most people will have heard of the whole adult colouring craze but this book is a little bit extra special. This beautifully presented book has thick high quality cream sheets of card each measuring, 10" x [...]

    • Review posted hereokpassionforlifeI normally receive fiction to review so you can imagine my surprise and glee at getting this! Adult colouring books are really taking off at the minute and I have quite a few, I bet most of the adults who indulge in these books used to love colouring in as a child and I must admit that I definitely did and nothing gave me greater pleasure than getting a new colouring book and felt tip pens in my Christmas stocking. That being said… I have NEVER seen a more bea [...]

    • Johanna Basford’s Secret Garden: Artist’s Edition coloring book is so beautiful in black and white you may have trouble deciding where to add the first bit of color. Eventually, though, you probably won’t be able to resist making these images your own. This book contains 20 drawings, and because they are on thick paper with drawings on one side only, they are ideal for framing once you’ve added your own touches to them. Some of my favorite drawings are the heart shape made from twining vi [...]

    • This has been my first try with an adult colouring book and it won't certainly be my last! I used pencils (I personally love them the most), but you can definitely use pens as well because the pages are quite thick and the colour won't get through the back and ruin the next illustration. Indeed, the quality is just that good! It takes a lot of time to colour each illustration, but that is so the point of these books. They distract your mind from the everyday life and they give you an enjoyable, [...]

    • This is the best one! The double pages pull out into one instead of trying to color into the binding. Beautiful images and art and printed on good quality paper.
