    • My non-spoilery review for the whole vol.1 is hereI'M DYING!!! :D :DCant pick the best moment. All the great banter between Groot and Rocket Raccoon or that funny superman reference? ^^

    • I think that they did quite a good job in this one. The art is appealing, but more importantly, very well-done in terms of expressions and body language for both Groot and Rocket without putting it ridiculously over the top. If the creators can keep this up, I'll keep coming back for more, because it'll be one of those series in my "funny comics that make me smile" category. This one reminds me, in a good way, and probably not coincidentally considering that the artist is a Disney animator, of f [...]

    • I saw the Guardians of the Galaxy first time in 2015 and because the story wasn't that clear for me, I didn't like the movie much. But then this year, I saw the trailer for the second movie with baby Groot in it and I remembered all the characters and decided to give the first vol. one more chance. And boy! Oh boy! I fell in love with it immediately after getting what's going on. I loved everything and everyone in it, specially Rocket and Groot. I adore their friendship. When I finished watching [...]

    • This book made me smile, for its quirks and humor and references. It's a road trip and it's going to be groooooooot.

    • This was a fun read. The author did a pretty good job helping the reader figure out what Groot was saying with each "I am Groot" though he did rely a bit too much on Rocket going "what do you mean you wanna do blah blah blah" and basically repeating whatever Groot said. The artist did a good job showing Groot's different expressions and emotions, but overall I think this type of character works better in the movie where you can hear vocal inflection and see gestures and movement. With that said [...]

    • Groot and Raccoon go on a roadtrip. One disaster follows another as the two have their "car" break down, get attacked by space sharks, and get attacked by bounty hunters. Interesting beginning. I might have been slightly too old to read this comic. Or it's geared more for younger readers, or . . . something. Still, I'll probably pick up the second issue.

    • Uncontrollable laughs all around. It doesn't get better than Rocket talking and Groot repeating "I am Groot".SPOILERSspace sharks. SHARKS.

    • I bought this single issue as an experiment -- I want to see if a sidekick that only says one line in a film could be a compelling lead in his own comic book. It also helped that Newbury Comics had a rad variant cover, exclusive to their store (not pictured) that was part of a sale. The answer: yes. Combined with the motor-mouth Rocket Raccoon, Groot is the straight man in a funny issue about hitchin' a ride(s).Recommended for readers who are looking for a lighter, more humorous alternative to he [...]

    • Fun, but without the intonation that an audiovisual support can give, the main character lacks a bit of depth. I got lost a little bit in the where and how in this story. I liked the drawings though!

    • Groot really wants to visit Earth and after some unfortunate events Rocket agrees to go with him.I have to be in the mood for Rocket and Groot. If I'm not I find them annoying especially when they do these solo jaunts. This issue wasn't particularly great as they are going on an intergalactic road trip. They even steal a space ship from a baby just like Superman.Anyway, this is OK if you find their general I Am Groot banter. My favorite line in this issue has to be this though."I don't care if t [...]

    • I really liked Groot. I'm so glad that he has his own comic book. I'm not super into superheros but I really liked the Guardians because of Groot. I loved the story. I love that Groot and Rocket are together and have their own story. I am excited to see where it goes and what kinds of things happen to Groot and Rocket.Every interesting start to the series and I wish the comics were longer.

    • Emily: I cannot get enough of the interaction between Rocket and Groot. They just make me smile So. Damn. Much.Cara: Groot and Rocket are everything that I want in comic book best friends. Love those two together!

    • I'm a sucker for sweet characters and Groot captured my heart in Guardians of the Galaxy, I really loved this first edition of Groot's story and as a bonus Raccoon features who I love as well! I can't wait to read the rest now!

    • I want to thank my bud for letting me borrow this!I am Groot!!This was super cute! Rocket and Groot are hitchhiking to Earth. We get to encounter SPACE SHARKS and 3 eyed chickens and some more cute stuff!Definitely not a serious comic and that's what makes this so rad.Loved it!
