    • The StoryAfter her boyfriend runs off with all her money, Grateful Knight moves into an unsaleable therefore rent-free house on the edge of a graveyard. She immediately gets under the charms of the gorgeous and mysterious cemetery caretaker, Rick. Her attraction to him seems supernatural, and despite her resolve to not get involved, she literally can't keep her hands off him. Furthermore, not so surprisingly, the house is haunted, and Grateful finds herself in a very cozy relationship with the h [...]

    • Do you ever find yourself reading a book just because your like "Eh I'm already halfway through, might as well just see how it ends". This perfectly describes my reaction to this novel. Not only was it predictable, but the characters lacked life. I couldn't care one way or another about Genevieve. Also I have to admit her reaction to her dads confession is far too forgiving. Spoiler, but at one point she mentions she has had relationships with 10 guys (she is 22) and how hard she has fallen for [...]

    • Sex with a ghost if it is even possible uh This book is full of This story is Give it a miss my friends, give it a miss.

    • This one was not for me and not at all what I was anticipating. In my head, when you put a chick holding a sword on the cover, that implies that she's something of a warrior and the description certainly implied strong romantic elements, but I wasn't expecting as much bubblegum as there ended up being.A couple things bothered me about this book.First, the main character is pretty fickle, habitually makes super dumb dives with both feet with men and is just very very bubblegum. She doesn't really [...]

    • This was a pleasant surprise. I didn’t have high expectations for this one but I throughly enjoyed listening to this complex story today. I don’t know if I like Rick or Logan yet but I’m definitely going to continue this series and see what happens.

    • I really enjoyed this book. Grateful Knight (yes, that really is her name) is a 22-year-old nurse who is broke after her boyfriend left her with nothing. So, her realtor father lets her live temporarily in one of his small-town properties that, for some reason, he is unable to sell. She soon discovers why: 1: Instead of having a back yard, she has the back end of the local cemetery, and 2: The house is haunted by two ghosts, one of whom is not happy she's there. On the up side, she's caught the [...]

    • As I said above, the cover to The Ghost and the Graveyard is so incredibly eye-catching! Anyone who thinks you really 'can't judge a book by it's cover', has never book shopped with me. If the cover catches my eye, then I will pick it up to consider it. If the cover style is outdated, ugly, or looks cheap, then I will likely not even give it a passing glance, even though it may be the best book out there. So this book doesn't have that problem. Once you open it and begin to read, you're enveloped [...]

    • 1/5 starsThe romance wasn't my favorite. I didn't personally like the characters and I felt the interactions between them were awkward. I enjoyed the idea behind the plot but the characters really dragged it down. Overall, just wasn't for me.Free on iBooks if you were interested in picking it up.

    • I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this, it was free on amazon, and worth a read, I will definitely be looking at book 2!

    • You know what's worse than "telling, not showing"?Showing something totally different than what you tell your readers. This has been a quite tedious read. The constant lusting and being drawn to every guy (even the ghost) who crosses the heroine's path is getting boring. (Of course all guys want her, too. Firstly because she looks like Barbie and secondly because she is so wonderful.)And the not-believing one part of the supernatural world-building, while speaking to ghosts in your own house? Qui [...]

    • Book Talk Reviewsfacebook/VampiresBite2012michelle808205The first thing about this book that got my attention was the cover. It looks scary and yet fun and I think the cover matches the story perfectly. I like the way the story was written, it has a good flow and is easy to keep along with and the editing was very good. The main character is Grateful Knight, she is a young nurse who has had to move into a house her dad obtained in Red Grove after her ex boyfriend Gary takes off with all of Gratef [...]

    • I was thrilled to find that The Ghost and the Graveyard is part of a series. After finishing this novel, which is a fast-paced, sensual, well-crafted piece, I was anxious to read on and continue the vicarious adventure of Grateful, her sexy ghost and the mysteries that lurk behind the graveyard gates. This novel is definately intended for mature audiences only. As such, I found myself carving out some reading time and wanting to pretend I was in college again so I could pull and all-nighter to s [...]

    • I was a huge Buffy fan, back in the day. Ghost in the Graveyard completely made me think of that paranormal action/drama throughout my read! “Naïve slayer, who’s sarcastic in the midst of danger…falls for dark guy who’s trying not to be dark…a little religion, a little witchcraft and voila!” Ghost in the Graveyard twines explicit sex with a complex mix of demons, witchcraft, vampires and heaven and hell that kept me curious right up to the end.A highly adult paranormal romance that [...]

    • The Ghost and The Graveyard was a likeable read for me. It was not only a good read on its own, but as the first book in The Knight Games series it did a good job of laying the foundation for the series. This book was written well and had a good core to its story. One of the main things this book had in its favor was its main character and heroine, Grateful Knight. First off, this is the first character I’ve come across with this unique of a name. I’m pretty sure I won’t come across a name [...]

    • It's hard to know where to start with "The Ghost in the Graveyard." I love Genevieve Jack's voice for one, and she has this incredible ability to make up these bizarro worlds, with their own complicated set of rules, and make them intensely real for the reader. The action is non-stop and I find myself constantly asking, "How does she come up with this stuff?!" Engrossing! Can't wait for her next!

    • Welcome to another round of "I'm So Torn!". On the one hand I was really digging the story here. Grateful makes enough of an impression that her immediate lust for Rick can be overlooked since, well she acknowledges her bad decision making skills and the need to tone it back. The mystery surrounding the creepy happenings at her new house kept me reading and while I wasn't particularly fond of either guy (for reasons I'll explain) neither one seemed like a complete Alphahole. So far so good! And th [...]

    • (2.5 Stars)I've never cared for love triangles although I've tolerated them reluctantly in YA novels. Unfortunately, I do not that same tolerance in adult books. So, the idea of a leading female character who goes from one bad relationship after another never learning a lesson is a bit more than I can bare. Additionally, it seems the only decisions she is able to make originate from her vajayjay. Needless to say, "The Ghost in the Graveyard" is not the book for me.Grateful Knight's mother died d [...]

    • As witch-powered supernatural being huntress stories go, this one was just okay. The premise is fairly tired and I found myself rolling my eyes at several points. What 22 year old woman is going to find out someone is keeping an important secret from her and just let it go for a while? That's right. None. But this one does. There are a myriad of other plot and character problems that pulled me out of the story at several points along the way, but honestly the whole thing felt very tired, derivat [...]

    • I'm doing this review Amanda-style. That's right! I'm listing it up!The Ghost and the Graveyard is for people whoke interesting world-building.have a soft spot for fated love butke it when fate isn't the only optionn't mind love triangles (of a sort)ke dirty, no-holds barred make-out sessions. In a graveyardke their shapeshifters with a little extra oomph.A pretty fabulous, complex world and a whole lot of potential teamed up with sexy times to capture my attention. I liked it!-Kelly @ Reading t [...]

    • I was originally suckered into this book by the gorgeous cover. I’m not sure where I saw it but at first glance I thought it was going to be the cover of the next Darynda Jones – Charley Davidson installment, because let’s face it, it is very similar to that series covers to date. I was surprised to see that it was in fact a debut book in a new series. I read the blurb and was immediately intrigued! Ghosts, witches, vampires and a sexy graveyard caretaker! I was SOLD! I immediately downloa [...]

    • My Blog review :)Author: Genevieve JackGenre: Urban FantasySource: Kindle Freebie308 pages I loved this book. I'm sad that it is over. It didn't have a cliffhanger per se but the way it ended left me wanting more! The closest comparison I have would be the Charley Davidson series, which is one of my favorites. Grateful wasn't as funny as Charley but there are some similarities there. I can honestly say that I couldn't guess what would happen next through almost the entire book. Except the part w [...]

    • I really quite enjoyed this book. That's despite it being told in the first person present tense, which I generally hate and involving both a love triangle and insta-lust, which usually drive me crazy. The book somehow managed to overcome all of its handicaps and provide an enjoyable read. And it did it with surprising ease. The magic irritation-nullifying ingredient? Humour. The Ghost and the Graveyard is funny. Yes, yes it's hot and steamy too, but that wouldn't have been enough to overcome my [...]

    • Intriguing storyline, humorous and let's not forget hot, sexy love scenes. What can I say except this book was awesome. It has mystery, suspense, hot romance and humor, all rolled into one book. The characters and storyline were amazing. G. Jack portrays them as real people. I felt as if I had stepped into the while partaking some of the action (love scenes, definitely) LOL!!!! I loved the fact that Grateful (main character) was just a regular girl until she found out about her situation: witch, s [...]

    • 4.5 Stars! I loved this book! Loved, loved, loved! The characters were fresh, the plot was thick with supernatural beings, capabilities, history and action and the storyline grew effortlessly. Grateful Knight is recovering from a bad relationship and she swears off men that is until the smexskie caretaker Rick knocks on her door. Her attraction to him is unnatural and certain events begin to happen around her, forcing her to question her what is going with her and her life. Throughout the book, [...]

    • The Ghost and the Graveyard flowed like silk, a fast, fun read I thoroughly enjoyed! Witty narrative, natural dialogue, and a smooth writing style were a welcome change from other more difficult to read titles I've trudged through recently. Even though this story has some traditional and well-used paranormal elements like witches, ghosts, and vampires, the imaginative plot took a few nice twists and had a satisfying level of action to keep readers glued to the pages. The romantic tension between [...]

    • The first half was slow for me and I didn't really connect with the characters until about half way through. Once I hit the halfway point, I didn't want to stop reading. Just like Grateful, I was torn between Rick and Logan. I wasn't really sure want to expect with this book. I saw another reviewer who said the book was creepy. I didn't find it creepy at all (and I have a low scary/creepy tolerance). If you're a fan of the supernatural, I would recommend this book. It's got romance, action, and [...]

    • Well done! This was very well written with a great plot to boot. I really enjoyed reading this! 4 stars.

    • What a great start to the series. I'm excited to read the next book and to see which man will win Grateful's heart.

    • Interesting story, this is a new to me for sure. A twist on the plain jane becoming all powerful witch. Ah yes, a reincarnate with a an immortal lover. Oh yes when I think of Rick, I think of muscles flexing with sweat while having heated sex. [whew fan me down]Grateful describes Rick as “Fresh-turned earth, pine, and something else I couldn’t quite place— the ocean, I think.”The main female character wasn’t a ditz as she had the old soul going for her even at the young age of 22. I to [...]
