    • This is not a bad book but DNF at 40%, pacing was just too slow and I was bored. I'm a fan of the slow romance build but even the world the couple would live in was dull to me. Pretty sure it's me.


    • awww I really liked this book and I'm so glad there's a sequel to it! To many people, the fact that the hero is much, much older than the heroine (by 23 years) would be extremely off-putting and unpalatable, but I think Courtney Seligman did a really good job of allowing us to want and root for their H/h relationship to develop and blossom, no matter how much the hero was resisting since he knew it was 'wrong'. Call me a deviant, but I actually found that the older man-younger woman story kinda [...]


    • Although I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it spent too much time focusing on the fact that despite the fact that they loved each other, Gael (hero) felt he was too old for Mia and this got old quickly. Also, after spending so much time with the first part, the actual loving, and living seemed rushed. Seriously, at one point I though Mia had been with Gael for several months because of how she felt, only to find out it had just been 3 days!!! And, there was so much build up regarding the guardians [...]
